サバイディー！
今日は、チェンマイから20時間バスに乗ってきたお話。
バスの感想から言うと、意外と辛くはなかったです。
Sabaidi!
I’ve arrived at Luangprabang.
Today I will share my experience of 20 hours bus from Chiangmai to here.
Actually it was not so hard than I thought.
16日9:00
このバスだよって言われた時はショックでしたね。ふかふかじゃない…普通のバスか…って。
私はNaga Travelという会社のバスチケットを約5000円で買いました。
会社によって値段は変わります。もっと高いのを選べば、座り心地の良いイスかもしれないですね。
そんなわけでショックを受けつつ、バスは時間通り、9時過ぎに出発しました。
16, March 9am
I was shocked when I found the bus. Because seats of bus was totally normal one, it wasn’t spacious and large seats although it’ll be a long journey.
I bought the bus ticket of Naga Travel. It costed about 47$. The cost may change depending on the company so if you choose more expensive one, maybe seats will be more comfortable.
I felt little shocked but anyway bus departed just around 9am.

13:00
チェンマイより北のチェンライで15人ほど人が増えました。
ちなみに、チェンマイから乗ってたのは10人弱で、全員乗っても席には余裕がありました。
この普通の席のバスで、満席になってないのでまだマシですね。

We arrived at Chiangrai, where places at north part. About 15 people joined so now there are around 25 people on the bus. But there are still space. So at least it was lucky because it was not full.
水とお菓子が配られました。
Water and snacks were served.
16:00
タイの税関で出国審査。バスで橋を渡って、いよいよラオスの入国審査。
税関のお兄さんに、「Oh you are from Japan. Are you alone? (日本人ね、一人で来たの？)スゴイ〜！」なんて言われながら、無事に入国。
4pm
We arrived Thai immigration. After that we passed bridge then we arrived Laos immigration. Laos immigration officer asked me” Oh you are from Japan. Are you alone? Sugoi(means ‘wow’ in Japanese)” Hahaha.
ここまで7時間かけてラオスに到着。
赤の矢印の通り、チェンマイからチェンライを通過してラオスに入国。
ここからルアンパバーンまでを表したのが緑の矢印ですが、13時間もかかるように見えなくないですか？
It took 7 hours from Chiangmai to the border of Laos. I wonder if it won’t take 13 hours to get Luangprabang from here.
…はい、しかし、ラオスに入ってから13時間かかるわけがすぐ分かりました。
山道で、細くて、たまにボコボコ。
ゆっくりしか進めないんですね。これは時間かかるなぁと。
But as soon as we enter the Laos, I knew the reason why it took 13 hours.
It was the road of mountain, road was narrow and bumpy. The bus couldn’t run fast. That’s why...
21:00
休憩。遅い時間だからでしょうか、レストランは2軒のみ開いてました。
欧米人の方々は何やら注文して食べてましたが、私はそれほどお腹が空いていたわけでもないので、ポテチを購入しバスで食べてました。お金なくてご飯食べれないかと思ったんでしょうか、バスのドライバーさんが「バナナ〜」ってバナナをくれました。優しい。

Break time. I wonder if it was because of late time, only two restaurants opened.
Many European people ordered something but I wasn’t hungry so I just bought snacks then ate in the bus. Then bus driver might think I didn’t order at the restaurant because I didn’t have money so he gave me bananas. He was kind.
17日5:30
ついに、バスターミナル到着。ホテルまで歩けない距離ではありませんでしたが、まだ外が暗かったこともあり、トゥクトゥクでホテルへ。
食べたり、音楽聴いたり、外を眺めたり、あとはひたすら体勢変えながら寝てました。そしたら、意外と20時間もすぐでした。
今朝着いたばかりですが、メコン川が流れていて、自然が豊かで、静かで、気に入りました！
あと数日ここでのんびり過ごして、エネルギーをチャージして日本に戻ります。
17, 5am
Finally we arrived at the bus terminal. It wasn’t possible to go hotel on my foot but it was still dark so I went by tuktuk.
On the bus, I ate, listened the music and slept a lot. Then it wasn’t so long and hard than I expected.
It haven’t took a lot of time since I arrived here. But even now I love this place. Not so noisy, wonderful nature, beautiful Mekong river...so nice. I’ll feel free and relax here lest of my travel time before back to Japan.
