Jambo!

ケニアの首都、ナイロビの観光地をいくつか紹介します。

連続してではないですが、合計すると約3週間ナイロビに滞在していました。
選挙の前後は室内にこもっていたわけですが、それなりに観光もしました。

Today I'll tell you some sightseeing places in Nairobi.
I stayed at Nairobi sometimes. It's about three weeks in total. During the election, I just stayed inside but still I visited many places.

・ジラフセンター

キリンが10頭ほど飼育されています。キリンにエサを与えることが出来ます。エサを口にくわえて待ち構えていると、キリンとキスも出来ます。
館内にはお土産が買えるお店と、軽食を提供しているカフェがあります。
それほど広くはありませんが、キリンはとても可愛いです。また、キリンをこれほど間近で見ることは中々出来ないと思います。

ちなみに、料金を支払う際に年齢を聞かれ、「22歳」と答えると子供料金になりました。なぜかは分かりませんが、得した気分でした。

開園時間 9:00〜17:30
料金 1000sh (子供 500sh)

・Giraffe Center
There are about ten giraffes. We can feed them. If you hold feeding stuff on your lips, you can kiss them.
There are souvenir shops and cafes you can eat some snacks.
It was not so big center, but giraffes were very cute. And I think there are not so many places we can see giraffes closely.

By the way, when officer asked me my age, I answered "22." I don't know why but I could enter there in children fee.

・国立博物館

ケニアに生息する動物の剥製が展示されています。またケニアの伝統的な暮らしや、民族の文化についても知ることができます。
カフェや、お土産を買えるお店もありました。

開園時間 8:30〜17:30
料金 1200sh (子供 600sh)、ヘビ園とセットで1500sh (子供 1000sh) 

・National Museum
There are a lot of stuffed animals which live in Kenya. Also you can see traditional lifestyle in Kenya and tribes cultures.
There are souvenir shops and cafes.

Opening time 8:30-17:30
Entrance Fee 1200sh (children 600sh), set with Snake Park 1500sh (children 1000sh)

・ヘビ園
国立博物館のすぐ隣にあります。
ケニアに生息するたくさんのヘビが飼育されています。飼育員がヘビに触らせてくれます。カメやワニ、魚もいます。

開園時間 9:00〜18:00
料金 1200sh (子供 600sh)

・Snake Park
It places just next to National Museum. There are various snakes which live in Kenya. If you want, you can touch snakes. There are also tattle, crocodile and fish.

Opening Time 9:00-18:00
Entrance Fee 1200sh (children 600sh) 

・マサイマーケット

洋服、布、アクセサリー、動物の彫刻、お皿、キーホルダー、楽器…など、ありとあらゆるものが売られています。けっこう広いです。逆引きが少ししつこいです。
外国人だけだと、かなり高額の外国人価格で買うことになります。ケニア人の友達がいる場合は、一緒に来てもらうことをお勧めします。また、閉店が近い夕方の方が値段が下がるそうです。

営業日時 土曜日、日曜 〜18:00頃まで

・Masai Market
You can buy various souvenirs like clothes, accessory, curving shaped animals, plates, keychains, music instrument and so on. It's quite a large. Many shop staffs will speak to you.
If you visit with only foreigners, you have to a lot of money to buy things. So if you have a Kenyan friends, I recommend you to visit there with them. Also I heard that you can buy cheaper in the evening because it'll close soon.

Opening Day and Time Saturday, Sunday -about 18:00

・ヒルトン・アーケード

写真はヒルトン・アーケードを撮したものではありませんが、ヒルトン・アーケードも位置するナイロビタウンの様子です。
建物の中に、お土産を買えるお店が2軒あります。マサイマーケットには及びませんが、ここでも様々な種類のものを買うことが出来ます。値段交渉は出来ませんが、もともとの値段も安いです。

・Hilton Arcade
This photo was took in Nairobi town, it isn't Hilton Arcade. Hilton Arcade places in Nairobi town.
There are two shops where you can buy souvenirs in the building. There aren't so many varieties of stuff compared with Masai market, but still there are a lot of souvenirs. Here you can't discount but original price is cheap.

・ウフルパーク

広い公園です。軽食や飲み物が売られています。池ではボートに乗ることも出来ます。
一休みするには良い場所かと思います。

・Uhuru Park
It is a large park. You can buy some snakes and drinks. In the pond, you can enjoy boarding small boat. It's a good place to rest a little.

・てりやきジャパン
名前の通り、照り焼きを食べることが出来ます。照り焼き以外にもメニューはあります。
ケニアに日本食のレストランは少ないと思うので、日本食が恋しくなったらここに来るといいでしょう。価格は少し高いですが、味はとても良かったです。私が行った時には、2名の日本人スタッフが働いていました。

営業時間 月〜土曜 7:00〜21:00、日曜 11:00〜19:00

・Teriyaki Japan
It's a Japanese restaurant. Teriyaki is a Japanese dishes which backed chicken with sources.
There aren't so many Japanese restaurant in Kenya, so if you want to eat Japanese food in Kenya, I recommend you to go this restaurant. It's not cheap but tastes was delicious. When I went there, two Japanese stuff worked.

Opening Time :Monday-Saturday 7:00-21:00, Sunday 11:00-19:00

・JAVA
都市部にあるカフェです。チェーン店で、ナイロビや近郊都市で何店舗か見ました。美味しいコーヒーが飲めます。マフィンやケーキなどのデザートから、サンドイッチやフライドポテトなどの軽食まで、メニューも豊富です。価格は高めですが、店内は広く、ゆっくりと時間を過ごすことが出来ます。wifiもあります。

・JAVA
It's a coffee cafe in the city. It's a chain store. You can enjoy various drinks and dishes such as tasty coffee, muffins, cakes, sandwiches, French fries and etc. It's not so cheap but you can spend a relax time in the spacious store interior. Also you can use wifi.

また、ジラフセンター、国立博物館、ヘビ園の上記の料金は、全て外国人価格です。ケニア人の料金は、半額かそれ以下です。

Fees wrote above, Giraffe Center, National Museum and Snake Park, are for foreigners. It's cheaper if you are Kenyan people or residents in Kenya.
